Architectural
The interplay between architectural form and organic matter fascinates me. Metaphorical themes such as the transformative effect of making the choice to “let light in” or the way that light can be quite insistent, refreshing and transformative, guiding the way through darkness or confusion, softening and resculpting the edges of apparently solid form, have often informed my own life during the painting process; perhaps likewise for the viewer.
